TANKS SEGREGATION
Not
less then two valves segregation is required when different
crude oil cargoes are carried simultaneously.
For oil and chemical products segregation between grades has to be achieved
by means of physical separation between the systems, both in the liquid and
the vapour phases.
Separation between cargo and ballast system of CBT operated product tankers
must be performed through spool pieces. Double valve separation is not accepted.
